In this short clip David Platt talks about the blessing of having regular family worship, and invites us in for a typical night of family worship at the Platt house. He mentioned a help from acronym R.E.A.P. Read, Examine, Apply, Pray. This is especially helpful for those who do not know where to start in regards to Family Worship time.
Simply read a portion of scripture. I recommend reading book-by-book and chapter-by-chapter.
Examine the portion of scripture. Look at the verbiage, language used, tone, ect.. These details might help you understand why it was written a certain way. What does this portion of text say about God?
How does this portion of scripture apply to our life. What principles can we gather from this text.
Pray for each other, your church, your neighborhood, your city, and your nation. Confess sin and ask how you could be praying for each other.
